The duo Sungod Abscondo is C. Mark Manney (Abscondo) and K. Macke. We are two Americans who currently call Slovakia home. Here we have found freedom to live and create.

The two of us met in 2005 over a beer in Presov, Slovakia, and soon began weekly acoustic jam sessions. Our only ambition has been to keep it fun and create music we both love. By January 2007, it was becoming clear that we had a strong album in us and set out to record "Imperfect People" during that Spring. Everything you hear on this indie album was written, performed, recorded, and mixed by the two of us, with whatever instruments we could find, around a kitchen table in Eastern Slovakia.

"Imperfect People" combines indie-folk and pop sounds with cool vox. The music has a retro-feel to it.... kinda retro but fresh just the same. The slower tempo'd tracks are folkish while the more upbeat tracks have a rockin'-acoustic-guitar-pop feel to them. I like the guitar-strumming, I like the vocals and I like the overall rhythm and 'feel' of the music. The CD starts off kinda mellow ("Flying Love") and then moves into a more up-tempo "Little Friend" which is a late-60s feelin' track (cool guitar solo!). Other tracks I really like: "Wicked Mama" (rockin' acoustic guitar); "Drunk on Me" (another cool guitar solo);" "Catch Reflections." Thanks SA!
